Bring the whole family out to the farm for a tour, tractor-tram ride, and special activities for kids.
Farm Fresh to You, an organic farm and CSA delivery program, kicks off a season of farm-based events with their Spring Equinox Farm Tour. Ride the tractor tram around the farm and learn about sustainable agriculture from chief farmer Thaddeus Barsotti. Taste products from surrounding farms and pick out fresh organic produce from the produce stand. You can buy lunch from local vendors on-site or bring your picnic. Enjoy art activities and a petting zoo. Cost: Adults $5. Kids 12 and under are free. Also coming up on the farm this spring: Strawberry Jam 5K & Farm Tour on Saturday April 15, and the 6th Annual Cinco de Mayo Festival on Saturday May 6, benefiting the Kathleen Barsotti Non-Profit for Sustainable Agriculture. The farm hosts the popular farm-to-table dinner Outstanding in the Field on Saturday, June 3, with food prepared by Grange Restaurant. Tickets go on sale at here on March 20 and usually sell out within 48 hours.
