The team behind This is Oakland joins Fentons Creamery with a delicious offer that benefits Oakland’s libraries. Meet author Melissa Davis and photographer Kristen Loken, creators of This is Oakland: A Guide to the City’s Most Interesting Places. Pick up a signed copy of the book and create your own famous Fentons sundae (with toppings galore), all for a flat fee of $45.00 (add $6.95 for kids to get in on the sundae creations, too). Twenty-five percent of all proceeds will go to the nonprofit Friends of Oakland Public Library.

The fine print: Additional sundaes may be purchased in addition to the book/sundae combo ($12.95 for adults and $6.95 for kids), but a book must be purchased to partake.  Valid only on November 20, and no other discounts may be used.
