Enjoy a self-guided tour of eight beautifully remodeled Rockridge kitchens ranging in style from classic Craftsman to contemporary. See innovative uses of new and traditional materials, creative solutions for smaller kitchens, and seamless integration of indoor and outdoor space. The kitchens vary from sleek and efficient working spaces to cozy multi-use family gathering spots, and some reflect the owner’s collections of equipment, art, cookbooks, and kitchen memorabilia. If you are considering your own remodel, looking to learn about new trends in kitchen design, or just love kitchens, the tour will be a memorable experience. In addition, don’t miss the full-home tour of the historic Morse House, designed in the English Tudor Revival style in 1936 by renowned Bay Area architect E. Geoffrey Bangs.

New this year are the Kitchen Expo on September 17 (free to tour ticket holders) and a special, limited-capacity kitchen remodeling seminar with a renovation specialist at Berkeley Mills on September 19. Advance tickets for the tour are available prior to September 18 for $40 (add $25 for the Berkeley Mills option) online and at Rockridge Home on College Ave. Same day tickets are $45 at the door. Proceeds from the event support community projects such as restoration of the Rockridge BART Plaza, renovations at Frog Park, and new trees along College Avenue. This year, $5,000 of the ticket sales will benefit the Rockridge Community Planning Council’s Community Grants Program. Tickets and info: here
