The Picnic With Market Hall features products, tastings, and chef demos from Market Hall Foods (formerly known as The Pasta Shop), Hapuku Fish Shop, Marin Sun Farms, Market Hall Bakery, Market Hall Produce, Paul Marcus Wines, and Cactus Taqueria. Pumpkin painting and other family activities, presented by Market Hall in partnership with Cole Hardware, add to the fun. Get in the swing with live music on multiple stages as well as circus performances by Oakland’s Kinetic Arts Center. The popular Cookbook Exchange benefits the Rockridge Public Library, and all proceeds from Cheese Box Art by Mattie Ignacio go to Oakland’s MOCHA, the Museum of Children’s Art. Free admission. The Market Hall Pok Pok Refresher
Look for this drink, created by Cathy Leland, at Market Hall’s Picnic in the Street on Sunday, October 9.

2 ounces Pok Pok Som Pineapple Drinking Vinegar
2 ounces Market Hall Produce fresh squeezed orange juice
2 ounces vodka
Soda water
Lime wedge
Mint sprig

Fill cup with ice. Add drinking vinegar, orange juice, and vodka. Give a quick stir, then add soda water to top, and give it a quick stir. Squeeze in lime wedge and dress up the glass with a sprig of mint to make it look fanciful.
