Reclaiming Traditional Mexican Foods

Decolonize-Your-DietMeet the authors of Decolonize Your Diet as they discuss their popular cookbook celebrating foods native to the Americas. Professors Luz Calvo and Catrióna Rueda Esquibel share the research and philosophy that led to the book and discuss the healing properties of a diet rich in corn, beans, squash, herbs, and other plants indigenous to the Americas. The book features more than 100 recipes and was awarded an International Latino Book Award in 2016. Edible East Bay cover artist Margo Rivera-Weiss writes about Decolonize Your Diet and interviews the authors in our upcoming Spring issue. Free event.
