Grilled Summer Peaches

Grilled peaches can be used in so many ways. They make an easy addition to a mixed green salad, a scrumptious side dish for grilled pork or chicken, or a quick dessert.

Choose your favorite variety of ripe peach.

When ready to grill, cut peaches in half and remove pits. Brush cut sides and skins with canola or grape seed oil, then place the halves cut-side down on a medium-hot grill and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

If you are making the grilled peaches into a dessert, turn cut side up on the grill, sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar, then cook approximately 3 to 4 minutes longer. Serve filled with yogurt, ice cream, or a spoonful of feta cheese and top with toasted almonds and blueberries.
