Treat Your Eyes to a Pomegranate Feast

“Pomegranates Plus,” an exhibit of works by Margo Rivera-Weiss is on display at Oakland’s Ba-Bite restaurant.

Readers of Edible East Bay’s Summer 2017 issue have been taking special notice of the art piece on the inside back cover. “At Oakland’s Ba-Bite,” a work in ink, watercolor, and collage, is by regular Edible East Bay illustrator and community artist Margo Rivera-Weiss. The piece is now being featured in a solo art show, “Pomegranates Plus,” an installation at Ba-Bite Restaurant composed of 14 works in mediums spanning watercolor, India ink, linoleum and rubber cut printing, and etching. Nine of the artworks are images of pomegranates, which is also the theme of the beautiful murals and permanent art collection in the attractive, colorful restaurant. The show runs through August 30, 2017. Ba-Bite is located at 3905 Piedmont Avenue in Oakland. babiteoakland.com
