Seeds Are Meant to Be Shared
Just in time for spring planting, you’ll find a vast variety of seeds at the annual seed exchange hosted by the Bay Area Seed Interchange Library (BASIL). Celebrating its 20th year, this swap includes speakers, a potluck dinner, and hundreds of seeds from all around the Bay Area. Cost: Free when you bring seeds and a potluck dish to share. Suggested donation $5–$20, but no one turned away for lack of funds. Info: here
If you’d like to volunteer at the swap or help to sort seeds, email minna@ecologycenter.org. The event is co-sponsored by Indigenous Permaculture Project, Richmond Grows, Sustainable Economies Law Center, and Transition Berkeley.
