Seed saving advocate Rebecca Newburn of Richmond Grows Seed Lending Library has tapped members of the Contra Costa Master Gardeners program to lead newbie gardeners in this online session. Learn about what to grow and when to grow it, sunlight requirements for different plants, how to start plants from seeds, how to build your soil, what plants do well in containers, how to properly plant seeds and starts, the basics of watering your plants, and what to do if your plants aren’t thriving.

Absolute Beginner’s Gardening

You’ll get the link to the login information once you register on Eventbrite.

Visit the Contra Costa Master Gardeners page for more information on where to go in the county for supplies.
