Rhythms of the Land: Virtual Film Screening on October 28
Here’s a special chance to view the documentary honoring Black farmers by filmmaker Dr. Gail Myers, who was interviewed by Edible East Bay for our Summer 2022 issue. Click here to read that interview.
Ear to the Ground is a virtual opportunity to see the documentary film Rhythms of the Land, by Dr. Gail Myers. Myers traveled to 10 Southern states to interview Black farmers, mostly in their 80s and 90s, and capture their stories on film. She describes her work as “a valentine to generations of Black farmers in the United States from the enslavement period to the present, whose intense love of the land and dedication to community enabled them to survive against overwhelming odds.”
