This year’s Art/Act Local exhibit at Berkeley’s David Brower Center features perspectives from emerging artists on food, justice, action, and the environment. Co-authored by José Gonzalez, founder of Latino Outdoors, along with Brower Center staff, “All on the Table” will examine an array of topics including food as an expression of care as a community and food as a portal back to the land and environment. Four selected artists will each receive $1000 towards the creation of new work, framing or mounting of existing work, or other production expenses towards the exhibition, which runs June 21–September 14. Artists must live in Northern California and submissions are due on Monday, January 30 at 5pm. Details and application form here.
