Spend a lovely hour in the Crops of the World Garden at the UC Botanical Garden learning about traditional amaranth harvesting methods and practices. Members of Indigenous Permaculture will share the rich history of this food and its importance to the people of Mesoamerica. Participants will share in community while celebrating the deep Indigenous connections and practices surrounding amaranth.
