Cooking in the Country Kitchen

Stop by the outdoor farm kitchen, learn to cook with a wood-burning stove, and sample the day’s special. Pick up a historic recipe to try at home.

Play with Dough

Knead the dough and shape your own pretzel to bake in the wood-burning stove.

Sunday September 22 & Oct 20 & 27, 11:30am–12:30pm
Apple Cider Pressing

Help squeeze the juice from apples and taste a sample of your hard work.

Sunday September 29, 2–3pm
We All Scream for Ice Cream! 

Combine ice, salt, cream, and sugar, then add muscle power and learn how old-fashioned ice cream is made.

Saturday & Sunday, October 12 & 13, 10am–4pm
Ardenwood Farm Harvest Festival

Harvest Indian corn and popcorn, and enjoy magic shows, cider pressing, and historic crafts. Ride a narrow-gauge train, visit the pumpkin patch, and tour the old farmhouse. Bring bags for carrying home your harvest. Cost: $10/adult, $8/senior (62+), $6/child (4–17 yrs), free under 4 years. Purchase advance tickets at the farm or at Free parking.
