Indulge in bagel tasting and find out who bakes the best bagel in the East Bay as Temple Sinai hosts a double-blind taste test of six locally produced, commercially available bagels. Enjoy your bagels with or without a variety of schmears (chopped liver, tuna, cream cheese, lox, and egg salad), and test your bagel trivia with Quizmaster Jacob Rubin (TBS’s King of Nerds). Listen to bagel tales with traveling storyteller and author Joel ben Izzy (The Beggar King and the Secret of Happiness) and get a chance to win a bagel-making workshop with Bake Your Own Amazing Bagels. Temple Sinai is a Reform synagogue and the largest Jewish congregation in Alameda County. All proceeds from event donations (suggested $10 adults, $5 children under 13) and the raffle go to the Alameda County Community Food Bank. Info: here
