uses of California’s edible and medicinal plants.

California’s edible and medicinal plants have been used since prehistoric times for a variety of  nutritional and therapeutic benefits. This full-day workshop at the UC Botanical Garden covers topics ranging from an introduction to major bioregions and plant communities to harvesting guidelines and safety issues. Class includes an interactive lecture, sampling of plant preparations, and a walk through the Garden’s California natives section. Cost: $60. Info and registration: here
