Join Slow Food members from around the Bay to explore Alameda through three local enterprises. Taste gin and vodka at St. George Spirits, the first artisanal distillery in America since Prohibition; visit Ploughshares Nursery, a plant nursery that also trains and employs formerly homeless Alameda residents; and enjoy lunch at Trabocco, known for its Abruzzo-inspired Italian cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients. Cost: $30, not including lunch. Info and tickets: here
