Tomato Time in the Capay Valley
The tomatoes are luscious and ready for tasting at Capay Organic’s annual festival. Sample an assortment of heirloom and cherry varieties, along with local olive oil and honey. Tour the farm, ride a tractor tram, visit the animals, and make herb salt with organic farm herbs. Bring your dancing shoes since the live music by Miss Lonely Hearts might make you hop. Pack a picnic or purchase a meal or snack made with farm produce. Extend your visit by camping in the farm orchards. Event proceeds benefit the Kathleen Barsotti Non-Profit for Sustainable Agriculture. Cost: Adults $20, children 12 and under free. Camping: $35. Info and tickets: here or on their Facebook page
