Two Days of Apples with the UC Botanical Garden

Here are two workshops featuring seasonal fun and exploration with apples.

On October 17, the whole family can learn about the botanical side of apples and then use them to make crafts. It’s recommended to have one or two apples per child and some finger paints on hand for the crafts. Cost: $10. Info and registration here.

Adults can gather at the screen on October 18 for a lesson in the craft of hard-cider making and a tasting of three different ciders, which you’ll pick up in advance from Redfield Cider Bar & Bottle Shop at 5815 College Avenue in Oakland. Your kit comes with two special UCBG Apples & Hops tasting glasses. Cost: $40. Info and registration here.
