Fruits of Labor on Screen at The New Parkway Theater

Directed by Emily Cohen Ibañez, Fruits of Labor is the story of an American teen in an agricultural town on California’s central coast. ICE raids in her community threaten to separate her family, and she must become the breadwinner. Her dreams of graduating from high school are disrupted by long days of work in the strawberry fields and a night shift job at a food processing factory. This film marks the start of the theater’s Fall Screening Series.

Covid-19 Safety Information: Upon re-opening, The New Parkway Theater will be a vaccinated-only space and patrons will be required to show proof of vaccination for entry.
