Foraging and Cocktails: a fundraising walk and party, April 27
Join Herbicide Free Campus (HFC) and Professor Philip Stark on Wednesday, April 27, 6–8:30pm for a foraging walk in Berkeley, followed by an evening of community + cocktails—made with the plants you foraged!—at a cocktail party in a beautiful Berkeley home overlooking the Bay.
A draw to the event is the chance to spend some delightful hours with Philip Stark, a professor of statistics, former associate dean of mathematical and physical sciences, and director of Berkeley Open Source Food at the University of California, Berkeley (not to mention an HFC advisor).
On this walk around Berkeley, Professor Stark will talk about how to forage, and as you hang out for some freshly foraged cocktails and conversation, you may learn about how Professor Stark’s trail-running got him into wild foods and his current research on their potential for benefitting our health.
This event is a fundraiser for Herbicide Free Campus, a group of students and former students doing work on a national scale toward getting herbicides off college campuses.
