What’s for lunch? Town Kitchen offers a choice of entrées plus a drink and dessert for $13.

The energetic staff over at The Town Kitchen has been busy turning out scrumptious salads and sandwiches while building community ties throughout the East Bay. This time last year, the Oakland business that hires and trains low-income youth had delivered just 1,000 lunches: this month they delivered boxed lunch # 20,000. Known for building partnerships with other local businesses and nonprofits, Town Kitchen has been recognized as an Innovation Entrepreneur by Social Venture Network, and the business is a finalist for Localwise’s Work Local Awards. This week the group delivers lunch to the Warrior’s Foundation at the East Oakland Youth Development Center court unveiling.  Read more about The Town Kitchen in our current issue.
