Fruitvale First highlights the area’s Latino diversity as well as the cultural activities, restaurants, nonprofits, and community groups that enrich the neighborhood. Enjoy Aztec dancers, Afro-Cuban rumba, samba, and folklorico dance. Savor a variety of tastes from food trucks and booths featuring Argentinian and Puerto Rican fare. Pupuseria Lupita, beloved for its pupusas and Salvadorian tamales, and Taqueria Reynoso, well-known for its barbacoa street tacos, will also take part. The events takes place at Peralta Hacienda Historical Park, a six-acre park and historic house which is an arts and education hub for families and youth and a regional center for historical inquiry and discovery.
