Heavens, it’s raining again! You’re looking at all the flood news footage and thinking you may need to rent a canoe for that Napa Valley wine-tasting adventure you had planned.

Well, no need for that. You’ll soon be able to set up in front of the big screen at home, open one of those prized bottles you’ve saved for a special occasion, set out the cheese and crackers, and tune in to Decanted, A Winemaker’s Journey.

In this gorgeous new feature-length documentary, which releases on iTunes on February 28, director Nicholas Kovacic takes us on a tour we could never have by car. Opening with exciting aerial footage of Napa Valley wine country and then dropping in on a grape harvest in the magical light of dawn, the film follows eight top Napa Valley winemakers through the seasons in their vineyards and wineries. We learn what drives a winemaker from day to day and how their passions get communicated into the glass and the market. There’s interesting background on the history and geography of this famous wine region and in-depth discussion on how a wine business is built from the ground up. Aspiring winemakers as well as wine enthusiasts of all stripes will enjoy this engaging hour spent in the beautiful Napa Valley. Learn more here.
