This free, family-friendly street festival offers plenty of fun and practical activities: educational tutorials, swaps, garden installations, and live art and music. Learn about community organizations, bicycle culture, and the Justice Zone: an evolving collaboration with local leaders focused on the retention of long-term Oakland residents. The event is a collaboration between PLACE for Sustainable Living and various neighborhood organizations. They’ve drawn inspiration from City Repair’s Village Building Convergence, Sunday Streets, Oakland’s Art Murmur, and the mini Maker Faires. Free, but donations welcome. Info: here
