Fifteen years in publishing, and this is the first time we have missed getting an issue out on time.

Like so many small businesses, Edible East Bay has been deeply impacted by the cascade of Covid-19 disruptions. It’s affected our stories, our advertisers, our contributors and staff, and also our whole distribution model. The uncertainties and challenges continue, but we have decided to move ahead anyway to get the next issue out, hopefully by the middle of July.

People have asked us how they can help. We’re not calling for donations, but instead, simply trying to make it through these difficult times the old-fashioned way:

  • Please help us cover the costs of creating the magazine by subscribing to our print edition here. You can order a single copy, if you prefer.
  • Would you like a carton of 65 copies to share from your business when the new issue comes out? With so many of our distribution locations closed or operating differently, we are having to rebuild our distribution network. If you can help, contact us at info(at)edibleeastbay.com.
  • Business owners: Please consider advertising in our Harvest 2020 issue. Ad reservation deadline is June 21.
  • Perhaps you might like to take out an ad to support your favorite restaurant, thank first responders, or simply demonstrate your support for excellence in local food media?
