Art in the Nursery: August 6

 

Edible East Bay will be well represented on Saturday, August 6, 11am–3pm, at Art in the Nursery, one of Berkeley Horticultural Nursery’s many 100th Anniversary Celebration events. Spend a lovely afternoon with the art, the artists, and the nursery’s beautiful greenery as you enjoy live music by Montalvo Strings.

An urban sketcher and illustrator, Cathy Raingarden is also a tile contractor.

Shari Arai DeBoer works in printmaking, watercolor, and book arts, and worked as an architect before shifting her focus to art.

Junko Stickney specializes in crafting art and jewelry inspired by nature.

Garden designer Elissa Callen creates installation art and drawings with natural pigments and botanical inks on environmental and sustainability subjects.

Painter Lorrie Fink calls on the expressiveness of botanical and geologic forms to investigate pattern and color.

Watercolorist Helen Krayenhoff is also a grower who has been investigating how to dye fiber with colors from plants.

The paintings and drawings of the late Margo Rivera-Weiss continue to delight and inspire viewers.
