Indie Fest at Market Hall: Saturday May 10

Foods created by independent artisanal crafters and growers can be exceptional, and there’s often an interesting story behind them. When Rockridge Market Hall (5655 College Ave, Oakland) hosts its Second Annual Indie Food Fest on Saturday, May 10, noon to 3pm, you’ll get to meet and chat with a group of independent producers of cheese, olive oil, charcuterie, chocolate, honey, heirloom beans, premium rice, and more.
And that’s not all…
The 21+ crowd can sample wines and beers! Paul Marcus Wines will showcase independent wine producers, and ACRE Kitchen & Bar will be sampling their 2023 ACRE Varsity Red Blend, which is a collaborative project between ACRE and Billy D. Wines, where 100% CCOF-certified organic grapes are crafted with minimal intervention. Temescal Brewing and Line 51 Brewing will be there as well!
And at the authors’ table…
Greens Restaurant Chef Katie Reicher will be signing copies of her debut cookbook, Seasons of Greens. The Market Hall Kitchen will offer samples of the book’s Green Goddess Hummus, which will be for sale also as a pre-packed item. Read our review of the book here.
Georgia Freedman will also be at Indie Fest with her latest cookbook, Snacking Dinners, and the Market Hall Kitchen will offer samples of the book’s White Bean & Salami Toasts. Click here to read our review of Snacking Dinners and try out a sample recipe.
