Organic Stone Fruit Jubilee: June 28 in Kingsburg

From the sketchbook of urban sketcher Cathy Raingarden
In 2023, urban sketcher Cathy Raingarden and Edible East Bay ‘s editor Cheryl Angelina Koehler attended the Organic Stone Fruit Jubilee in Kingsburg Historical Parkway down near Clovis. They had an amazing time meeting the farmers and tasting all the delicious varieties of nectarines, peaches, plums, pluots, apriums, and apricots grown there in the Central Valley’s “golden triangle of organic stone fruit production.” Read their story from when they visited in 2023.
The jubilee takes place this year on Saturday, June 28, and we highly recommend it! You get to spend the day with the growers based in the Central Valley’s “golden triangle of organic stone fruit growing” near Clovis, and they are quite a passionate group of growers! At the Kingsburg Historical Park, there are air-conditioned spaces available to escape the summer heat, but there’s also plenty of shade under the trees and tents where you go about tasting all the delicious varieties of nectarines, peaches, plums, pluots, apriums, and apricots (plus plenty of other fresh produce and value-added products from these local small farms). There are kid-friendly activities as well as food and beverage booths and several demos.
