Wheat Harvest at Ardenwood

Discover the wonders of wheat at Ardenwood Historic Farm, 34600 Ardenwood Boulevard, in Fremont on Sunday, July 12, 10:30am to 3pm and July 19, 1:30–2:30pm. Explore the history of harvesting and processing wheat as you try your hand at threshing, winnowing, and grinding wheat berries into flour. Watch the farmers demonstrate historic threshing machines that make harvesting wheat an easier task. Visitors on July 12 can also stop in at the country kitchen to enjoy freshly baked wheat treats. These free drop-in programs do not require registration, but Ardenwood admission fee applies.
