About the Chefs

A Berkeley native with nearly 22 years of pizza-making experience, Daniel McChesney-Young has done it all—from slice shops to competing in the Neapolitan Pizza Olympics in Italy. Now the program manager for the Ecology Center Farmers’ Market, Daniel serves up a simple food philosophy: Let the ingredients speak for themselves.

Assisting Daniel in crafting the delectable pizza on your plate will be Chef Peter of The Table Catering. With over two decades of experience in Mediterranean-California cuisine, Peter has worked at top establishments like Chez Panisse and Garibaldi’s. His commitment to sustainability and using high-quality ingredients ensures that every dish is both delicious and environmentally friendly.

Your $55 ticket includes the tour, all food and wine, and a full year of Ecology Center membership, with benefits like discounts at partner businesses, invitations to members-only events, and the knowledge that you’re helping build a healthier, more resilient local food system.
