Meet Artist Gary Handman
Sometime in the summer of 2013, a large envelope arrived at the Edible East Bay mailbox. Inside were three items, all hand-painted on watercolor paper…

Gary wanted us to know about some of under-the radar places in Richmond, Berkeley, and Oakland where he and his wife, Pam, like to eat and shop.

Thus began many beautiful years of collaboration:
Winter Holidays 2013—Kip Mesirow, carpenter who built Chez Panisse
Fall Harvest 2014— Kitchen Sentimental: Gary’s favorite kitchen gadgets
Fall Harvest 2015— Who Invented the Martini? and Bibulous by the Bay
Winter Holidays 2016—East Bay Cassoulet
Winter Holidays 2017—Automatic Device for Selecting a Restaurant
Winter Holidays 2019—Gary Handman’s Culinary Notebooks
Summer 2020—Farmers’ Markets Are an Essential Service
Spring 2020—Meet the Harvest Made Market Cart
