Support a Fellowship for Women Food Journalists
Enjoy every bite of a dim sum luncheon in Oakland’s Chinatown as you support women food journalists. The San Francisco chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier awards an annual fellowship (no strings attached) to a promising female Bay Area food journalist who is not a member of the organization. Author and illustrator Carolyn Phillips, whose books include The Dim Sum Field Guide and All Under Heaven: Recipes from the 35 Cuisines of China, guides the meal and presents her ideas in conversation with Sarah Fritsche of the San Francisco Chronicle. Ticket price: $75 including lunch and a copy of The Dim Sum Field Guide. Net proceeds benefit the Karola Saekel Craib Excellence in Food Journalism Fellowship. Info: here
