Gather for the Planet
The Agricultural Institute of Marin (AIM) invites the public to Gather for the Planet on Saturday, September 14, 4:30–8pm at Black Mountain Ranch in Point Reyes Station.
You’ll experience a taste of the farmers’ market at the Roaming Feast Reception, a chef-led culinary journey that spotlights diverse farmers and purveyors from around the Bay Area. Participating chefs include: Anne Alvero, Zuni Cafe | Charles Farrier, Crumble & Whisk Patisserie | Joyce Liu, Pomet—owned by K&J Orchards | Maria Clementi, Dooryard Provisions | Mark Liberman, Mago | Melissa Perello, Frances and Octavia | Rob Lam, Lily on Clement | Ron Dumra, Wah Jee Wah | Sylvan Brackett, Rintaro.
While dining al fresco, you’ll savor some of the best seasonal food, wine, and cocktails prepared by local chefs who shop AIM Farmers Markets (like our East Bay markets at Grand Lake, Newark, and Hayward) while enjoying live music by the Buttery Bluegrass Trio.
The evening continues inside a 126-year-old historical barn with an inspiring program to honor our food heroes: foodmakers who nurture our region’s soils and safeguard our planetary health. The evening concludes with Dessert at Sunset, a chance to savor delightful desserts and refreshments while enjoying the company of friends.
All proceeds are essential in supporting AIM’s nine award-winning farmers’ markets, farm-fresh nutrition access and education programs, and the campaign to build the Center for Food and Agriculture, a world-class farmers’ market and education space. These funds will help ensure that AIM’s precious local food systems are strong and resilient as we face the years to come.
